Infrared sauna Holjebadet

When the Holjebadet in Olofström was to be renovated, the municipality asked the citizens, including the Holjebadet's staff, what they would most like for updating the bathhouse. In a clear first place came a new large infrared sauna from Luxway!

In the past, it was common for Olofström's residents to go all the way to Bromölla swimming pool to have an infra sauna, as they had no public infra sauna in the municipality. When Holjebadet installed its new infrared sauna, it became very popular among both the municipality's residents, as many do not enjoy the heavy heat of a traditional sauna with an electric unit. They wanted to be able to enjoy a nice sauna bath and take part in all the health benefits that an infra sauna entails, without having to get in the car or on the bus to go to Bromölla.

The infrared sauna at Holjebadet has become important for the residents of the municipality, partly as a gathering place, and also part of the municipality's promotion of public health.

"It feels great to be able to offer a modern, infrared sauna to our visitors. Holjebadet is an important meeting place that unites our citizens. Now we can offer a communal sauna where men, women and children can bathe together" - Bianca Gustafsson, Director of Operations at Holjebadet .

The sauna is built with wide 125mm horizontal Asp panels and strong "Exclusive" seat bases in aspen for a substantial and solid impression. The infrared panels' black heating surface picks up the black from the ceiling and gives a stylish and uniform impression. The sauna still feels soft because of the warm white decorative spot lighting mounted in the light ramp above each infrared panel as well as the soft rounded fan corners we offer for our "Exclusive" lava series. So the whole sauna has a real impression but is still warm, soft and inviting. Says Oscar Samuelsson, sauna designer at Luxway, who designed the sauna.

The infrared sauna is designed with smart energy thinking to save energy and help the municipality achieve its energy efficiency and climate goals. The sauna is set to standby mode during the bathhouse's opening hours, when someone wants to use the sauna, they simply press a push button on the wall which puts the sauna in active mode for 30 minutes. This, together with the modern infa technology's already energy-saving and efficient heating system, makes the sauna much more energy-saving than a traditional old electric sauna that is left on and burning all day.
